The Ananthapur District Police have unearthed a massive dump of the naxals containing arms, ammunition and communication gadgets near Vankarakunta village in Nallamada mandal of the district.
Speaking to the media, the DIG of the Ananthapur Range N.Jayarami Reddy said the dump was found during the combing operations of the special police parties and investigation into the killing of two persons by the Maoists recently in Nallamada and Bukkaapatam mandals suspecting them to be police informers. The dump was concealed in huge cement pipes buried at three palaces in the forest area. The dump was unearthed upon the information given by a dalam member who had participated in the raid on the police outpost.
