CBI interrogates Jagan Mohan Reddy

Hyderabad, April 14, 2005

A team of CBI officials who are probing the murder of the TDP MLA Paritala Ravi have interrogated YS Jagan Mohan Reddy whose name was figured in the FIR at his residence on Thursday.

he preliminary round of enquiry was confined to eliciting information on the whereabouts of Mr.Reddy when the MLA was gunned down at Ananthapur. Mr.Jaganmohan Reddy is understood to have told the officials that the complaint itself was politically motivated and the TDP leaders had earlier tried to fix him in a suit case bomb case when their party was in power. Mr. RP Meena has assured the CBI officials of extending full cooperation in the inquiry and agreed to be present as and when required.
