A youngster who nursed a grudge against V.Chamundeswaranath, a former Ranji cricketer for not fixing an alliance, was abducted near Kasu Bramananada Reddy National Park.
The police swung into action to locate the vehicle in which the former cricketer was taken away, the abductors let him off near Mehdipatnam. Passers who noticed the former cricketer being forcibly taken away alerted the police and the police within minutes sent alert messages and every patrol vehicle in the vicinity began looking out for Maruti van in which he was abducted. The police arrested the kidnappers and the cricketer was released even before their arrest.
