NTPC Power Unit commissioned

The National Thermal Power Corporation's 500 MW (stage III) Unit 7 of the Ramagundam Super Thermal Power Project was commissioned on Sunday by the Union Minister for Power, PM Sayeed. With the commissioning of the unit, the installed capacity of the Ramagundam project goes upto 2600 MW making it one of the biggest thermal power stations in the country.

The NTPC Chairman and Managing Director, CP Jain said the installed capacity of all NTPC unit had gone upto 22,435 MW with the commissioning of this unit. He also said, it is the sixth largest power generating company in the world.

APSRTC Union demands reimbursement

The APSRTC Transport Mazdoor Sangh has demanded total reimbursement of the concession being given by the corporation and implementation of the recommendation of the AP Revenue Reforms Committee. In a statement on Sunday, the general secretary M.Nageswararo made some suggestions to the Government for protecting the interests of the corporation.
