Talks with naxalites in isolation will not help any thing
Hyderabad

A majority of the nine extremist effected States want the Centre to take initiate a composite dialogue with the naxalites instead of leaving it to individual governments to tackle the problem. At a meeting of the Chief Ministers, Home Ministers and officers of those States convened by the Union Home Minister, Shivraj Patil on Tuesday. They said the naxalite outfits might have different names in different states but ideologically they were one. In the opening remarks, Mr.Patil called for pooling the experiences of the States and a coordinated approach among them and promised Central assistance for modernizing police forces and development of backward areas.

Visakhapatnam TDP Corporator gets bail
Visakhapatnam

The Third Metropolitan Magistrate, A. Mary Grace Kumari, on Tuesday granted a conditional bail to the Floor Leader of the TDP Floor leader in Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Pyla Mutyalanaidu in a case of extortion and trespass. The order, issued late in the afternoon, preceded some high drama when Mr.Pyla who was arrested in the morning at his residence and produced in the court, complained of illness soon after the Magistrate remanded him to judicial custody till October 5th. While he was being moved to the Prosecution House, a resting facility in the court premises, a bail application was moved on his behalf and the magistrate granted bail.

Bombs seized in Anantapur
Anantapur

The Dharmavaram sub-division police on Tuesday seized 163 country made bombs and two boxes of electric detonators from different parts where they were concealed. The Additional SP of Dharmavaram told reporters. Meanwhile, Mohd.Iqubal of Congress, the former vice chairman of Tadipatri Municipality was arrested under the PD Act on Tuesday who was an accused in some criminal cases.
