TDP leader killed in Anantapur
Anantapur

The political and factional violence in the Anantapur district claims another TDP leader and ZPTC member of Somandepalli, Aswartha Narayana was hacked to death, allegedly by his Congress rivals at Mandli village of the Mandal on Sunday evening. He happens to be staunch supporter of Penukonda legislator, Paritala Ravindra.

According to the Superintendent of Police, Anil Kumar said five drunken persons allegedly hacked to death the ZPTC member when he was taking his cattle to the cattle shed.

Explosives seized in Anantapur Collectorate
Anantapur

The district police had a haul of explosives on Sunday during the vehicle checking near the Collectorate. According to the police, a team led by the Reserve Inspector was conducting vehicle checking when they found the contraband material. The police arrested the vehicle driver and cleaner and also confiscated the vehicle.

Cine actor Mahesh Babu to surrender

Following directions from the district police and the backdrop of the District and Sessions judge prohibiting entry of groups into the court, cine actor, Mahesh Babu has decided to come with a few persons to surrender before the court on Monday.

It may be recalled that the police has booked a case against him and others who along with his fans allegedly damaged the private property at Sony video mixing unit and 'kidnapped' its proprietor during his visit to Warangal as part of his film promotion recently.
