All arrangements made for Group I exams
Hyderabad

All arrangements have been made for the APPSC Group I examinations scheduled to be held on Sunday. Out of 80,000 applications, only 68,600 candidates have been selected for the examinations and hall tickets have been already issued according to Commission sources.

The examinations will be held in 9 places i.e., in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Vijayawada, Guntur, Kurnool, Karimnagar, Warangal and Tirupati with 154 examination centers.

Public hearing on Pulichintala on November 10th

Guntur

The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board will organize an 'Environmental Public Hearing' on November 10th to take the consent of the people of Guntur and Nalgonda districts whose lands will get submerged after the construction of the 1289km dam across the Krishna as part of the Pulichintala Multi Purpose Project.

The Project would be having a hydro-electric power generation component in addition to storing water for irrigation needs to stabilize the existing Krishna Delta ayacut. The Chief Minister, YS.Rajasekhara Reddy will perform Bhoomi Puja on October 15th.

Chaining of farmer inhuman - says Dattatreya

Former Union Minister and Senior BJP Leader, B.Dattatreya has described as 'inhuman' the chaining of a farmer by the police and demanded suspension of those responsible for it. At a press conference on Saturday, he said that it was a clear example of how the Congress Government is functioning claiming that the Government is pro farmer.

Former naxal shot dead
Bellary

A former naxalite and close associate of Paritala Ravi, the Penukonda MLA - Maalapati Venkateswara Rao alias RK was shot dead by some unidentified persons. The crime was committed in broad day light. Enquiries revealed that the victim was earlier involved in naxalite activities and was accused in several cases of murder and other unlawful activities. He found to be killed from a very close range.
