Repression on Maoists by police
Hyderabad

The Communist Party of India (Maoist) has alleged that the police repression that prevailed in the State prior to the elections is continuing in Adilabad district. This was evident from the police preventing construction of memorials and demolishing them at one or two places even after stoppage of combing operations and announcement of ceasefire and lifting of ban on naxals, the party spokesman Praksh said in a statement on Monday.

He said the party will be holding a meting on 31st October at Muvvada in Adilabad district where a memorial for extremists killed in the police action would be unveiled and will be followed by a public meeting at the Zilla Parishad Grounds, Asifabad in the evening.
