Underground PW leaders comes out

Top leaders of the PW and Janashakti made a dramatic appearance in public and received a red carpet welcome. Lakhs of people were awaiting to see and listen the speeches of their underground leaders. 'Peoples Guerilla Army' Ramakrishna, Amar, State secretary of the CPI-ML(Janashakthi), Ganesh, North Telengana special Zonal Committee, Sudhakar, Andhra Orissa border special zonal committee, Riyaz, Janashakti State Committee member and others came out of the forests on Monday.

Ramakrishna, State Secretary handed over AK47 rifle to members of the military platoon and shook hands with them amid loud slogans of Lal Salaam before they withdrew into the forests. The leaders drove in a fleet of vehicles to Gthikonda Bilam in Guntur district where the PW and Janashakti participated in a public meeting.

All the way, people stopped the vehicles and greeted them Speaking to the media, Ramakrishna said they did not believed that the Government would accept all their demands and they would insist on ending of World Bank promoted model of development which led to exploitation of the under privileged. As they are going for peace talks with the Government without arms, they said it the responsibility of the Government to provide security to their team which was accompanied by 35 PGA members all unarmed.

They proposed an agreement on cessation of hostilities during the first round of talks between their leadership and the Government on October 15th, in a letter to the Home Minister, Jana Reddy.Meanwhile, and the Government is being made all necessary arrangements for their stay and security. The Minister hoped that the talks will be fruitful.

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant donation
Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has donated Rs one lakh to the Sabari Vidya Niketan being run by the Ayyappa Devalaya Samithi for constructing a permanent building for the school. The CMD in charge of the Plant handed over the cheque to the members of the School Committee on Monday.

Top leaders of the PW and Janashakthi who are participating in the historic peace talks with the Government on October 15th will be the State Guests. The extremist leaders and 35 of their security personnel expected to arrive on Tuesday, a host of officials, including those from the protocol and police wings descended on the guesthouse. They are busy with making necessary arrangements and ensuring a comfortable stay and security for the guests. Metal detectors were placed at the entrance and sniffer dogs were pressed into service.

Roof collapse – students hurt
Srikakulam

Four inmates of a SC hostel located at Balaga in Srikakulam town were injured when blocks of concrete from roof slab fell on them on Sunday. They were immediately taken to hospital for treatment. After hearing the news, the District Collector N.Nageswararao visited the hostel and promised remedial measures.
