Rajiv Yuva Shakti program launched
Hyderabad

Rajiv Yuva Shakti, a self employment programme at a cost of Rs.321 crores meant for benefit of one lakh youth was launched by the Chief Minister, YS.Rajasekhara Reddy on Friday. He said the programme would go upto 1000 crore covering three lakh youth next year. He announced that the qualifying age limit for the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission's posts would be relaxed upto 41 years.

Necessary steps have been taken to fill vacant posts in various departments and six more youth hostels would be built in as many districts this year taking the total to 11 that every district had one such hostel. The Youth Services Minister T.Harish Rao said the entire scheme was to revamp to benefit the unemployed youth.

The Major Irrigation Minister, Ponnala Lakshmaiah released the brochure on the Rajiv Yuva Shakti programme and the Information and Public Relations Minister Mohad. Shabbir Ali released the news letter.
