The AICC President Sonia Gandhi's word on Telangana will be final and an agreement on this count has already been reached between the TRS and the Congress according to the AICC in charge of Andhra Pradesh, Digvijay Singh.

He arrived on Friday after a three day visit of Rayalaseema said that the AICC has already initiated the consultation process on Telangana with the UPA partners. He said that K.Chandra Sekhara Rao would meet the AICC president in this regard very soon.

He said that there is no question of setting deadlines and if the TRS wants to walk out on Congress, it is entirely upto the TRS party. He said the minor incidents would not come into way of peace going talks and it will take place. He called on the Governor Sushil Kumar Shinde at Raj Bhavan.

Eluru

Four students were drowned in the Godavari while taking a holy dip at Koderu in West Godavari district on the auscipicious occasion of Karteeka Snanalu on Friday. According to the police sources, the students belonged to MVR Government Junior College at Yelamanchili. Some bodies are yet to be traced. Swimmers on the job for searching the bodies in the river.

The All India Mahila Samskrutika Sangham is organizing a 'Delhi chalo' rally on 1st December to protest against the rising crime against women. According to the secretary, State unit of the Sangham Ch.Prameela said the rallyists would submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister and the Chief Justice of Supreme Court seeking steps to check violence against women.

The State Government adopted a software for geographical recording of lands developed by a private firm, Spatial Technologies (India) Ltd., The Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasadarao released the software at a function organized by the Survey Settlement and Land Records Department and the firm. The software, named 'BHUMITI 1.0 Version has been made to suit the needs of the Government for providing for digitalization of lands in graphic form.
