Government not backtracking peace talks - Jana Reddy
Hyderabad

The Home Minister, K.Jana Reddy speaking to reporters, denied the allegation that the Government is backtracking the talks with naxals and repressive methods against them. He said that the second round of talks would take place but would be possible if both sides achieved clarity and understanding on the issues.

He said that the naxals should not insult the Government and incite the public while organizing the meetings and said that the naxalites had not indulged in violence during the ceasefire period so far and asked people to understand the situation and the Government's approach is also the same.

MRPS serves ultimatum to Government
Cuddapah

The MRPS founder president, Manda Krishna Madiga on Wednesday served an ultimatum to the Government to ensure a Parliamentary enactment or Constitutional amendment resorting micro classification of the Scheduled Castes by 10th December.

In a press conference held in Balapanur village in Pulivendula constituency, he said 'rallies will be take out in Hyderabad on 7th to 9th December and would submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister and if the Government fails to initiate action to ensure micro-classification even by the, the Madiga Students Federation would stage a 'Chalo Assembly' on 13th December.

Lorry overturns kills five farmers
Hyderabad

A lorry laden with carrots was overturned while negotiating a curve, killed five farmers who were traveling atop on the lorry near Andhra Pradesh Police Academy in the early hours of Wednesday. Seventeen persons escaped with minor injuries.
