Cabinet for talks with naxals-Naidu Govt. decisions reviewed
Hyderabad

The State Cabinet today resolved to have a re-look into all the decisions take by the Chandababunaidu Government from January 1st, 2003 covering four sectors – infrastructure, projects, land alienations above five acres, tourism projects and populist schemes. At its first meeting, the Cabinet also decided to go ahead with talks with naxalites to end the extremist problem once and for all.

The Cabinet will constitute a Cabinet Sub-Committee consisting of the ministers of Agriculture, Revenue, Home and Cooperation to go into the issue of suicide by farmers and oversee implementation of two packages launched to pull the affected families out of the ‘deep distress’.

Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy at a press conference said he reiterated the Congress party’s stand that naxalisam. was a “socio-economic”problem, apart from being a law and order issue.
