Job quota for Muslims mooted

The State Government plans to set up a commission, on the lines of the one headed by Puttuswamy to provide for 5 per cent reservation for Muslims in employment in the Government sector according to the Minister for Information and Public Relations Mohd.Ali Shabbir
Eight more farmers commit suicide
Karimnagar
Three more farmers committed suicide in various parts of Karimnagar district on Thursday. With this the number of suicide cases has gone upto 18 during this year.In Nellore district one farmer committed suicide in Kondapuram mandal of Nellore district. Three farmers committed suicide in Kurnool district due to financial problems. It is reported that all these suicides are due to debts and failure of crops.
More PHCs for Paderu division

Fifteen more primary health centres will be set up in Paderu division shortly. According to the Regional Director of Medical and Health Services, increase in the number of PHCs to 32 in the revenue division to meet the medical necessities of the people.
Contribution to CMs relief Fund

The APSRTC National Mazdoor Union has decided to contribute a days salary of its members to the Chief Ministers Relief Fund for helping farmers in distress according to a press released by its general secretary.
Official alleges attack by worker

The Proddatur Municipal Commissioner Kishan Deshpande was allegedly assaulted by a public health worker at his residence on Thursday.The worker Madhu tore away the Shirt and threatened to lodge a complaint with the police under the SC/ST Act, he said. When the watchman tried to pacify Madhu, the latter allegedly pushed away the Commissioner and also assaulted the watchman. The Commissioner lodged a complaint with the police.

Five workers die as tractor overturns
Hyderabad
Five workers travelling the sand laden trailer of a tractor died instantaneously and another was grievously injured when the vehicle overturned while negotiating a turn between Gandhapally and Podchanpally villages of Medak district.
