With suicide by farmers continuing unabated even after the announcement of a financial package, the Chief Minister Dr.Y.S.Rajasekharareddy has unveiled a second package this time preventing 'potential victims' from taking extreme step. According to details of the scheme finalized at an official meeting on Friday a sum of Rs.50,000 would be given to the family of the potential victim for clearing loans taken from different sources, including local money lenders as one time settlement and another Rs.1 lakh towards the family's daily needs and for resuming farming.

In a sudden turn to the political developments in the State, the Chief Minister's announcement that he would constitute his Ministry on May 22nd and asked officials to make arrangements for the swearing in ceremony at 11.46am on Saturday. Dr.Reddy/'s decision took everyone by surprise since he had declared at a press conference on Friday evening that the Ministry making exercise would take place on Monday.
Officials of the Police, General Administration, Information and Public Relations and other departments, who were gearing themselves up slowly for next week's function, started work at a frenetic pace at Raj Bhavan where the Governor, S.S.Barnala would administer the oath to the new Ministers.
Invitations to the media were not printed until well past midnight. The Chief Minster was all set to go over to New Delhi to attend the swearing in ceremony of the Prime Minister-designate and his council of ministers on Sunday evening. The change in schedule followed a message from the AICC that he should witness the function at Rastharapathi Bhavan. Arrangements would e made to fly him to Delhi in such an eventuality. As soon as the AICC'S decision was conveyed to him, Dr.Reddy changed his plans to take the morning flight to the Capital and got down to the business Cabinet expansion here.
