Ministers in the Cabinet of N.Chandrababunaidu have begun vacating their residential and official accommodation in Government premises at Kundanbagh, Banjara Hills and the Secretariat.

The AICC leadership is believed to have cleared the names of 22 MLAs for the State Cabinet as proposed by the Chief Minister Dr.Y.S.Rajasekharareddy. Dr.Reddy met AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday when he is reported to have discussed and almost finalized the list of ministerial probables.
An official press release quoted the Chief Minister as saying that when a separate ministry was constituted at the Centre for disinvestment there should be no hesitation to create additional ministries in the State to keep up promises made to people.

Two employees of Rural Electrical co-operative society in Paravawada of Visakhapatnam V.Demudu, assistant engineer and V.Ramu, assistant lineman were arrested by the ACB officials on the charge of accepting Rs.10, 000/- bribe from a complainant on Monday. Both the employees tested positive during a chemical test and will be produced before the Special Court for ACB cases, Visakhapatnam according to a press release.

Alleging 'sexual harassment' by two top officers of the Godavari Gramena Bank on the office premises S.Vasantakumari working as a cashier in the same bank has demanded a thorough enquiry into the incident and 'justice' so that working women would feel confident of going to their workplace.
Addressing a newsperson at Rajahmundry Press Club on Monday, she made a complaint against a top official of the Godavari Grameena Bank to Andhra Bank, which is the sponsored bank, the latter had threatened to take disciplinary action against her for lodging complaints against the top official. She lodged a complaint with the police and she was writing to the National Commission and State Women's commission for 'justice'.

The Telugu Desam will not join the BJP's proposed countrywide protest if Sonia Gandhi becomes Prime Minister as people have rejected the TDP's stand on the foreign origin issue. In an informal chat with reporters, senior TDP leaders and politburo members maintained that though the TDP continued to be with the NDA, their party was not concerned with the allegation being planned by the BJP.

The meeting of the Communist Party of India State Council and Executive will be held here in the first week of June according to S.Sudhakar Reddy in a press release issued on Monday. The executive would meet on June 4th and 5th and the council on June 5th to 7th. The party's national council/executive would meet in Delhi from June 10th to 13th.

The bad luck for Telugu Desam Party also continued in the Guntur Municipal Elections when it lost majority. Of the 50 seats, 21 corporators from TDP and 5 from BJP won. With support from others, TDP got a strength of 30 seats. Congress of the other hand won 22 corporators and one from the United Communist Party of India corporator.
