Congress men storm Gandhi Bhavan
Hyderabad
Angry Congress workers from Mahabubnagar District threw a lighted piece of cloth inside a room and broke glass panes of window at Gandhi Bhavan - the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee office on Friday protesting against the move to give way six Assembly and one Lok Sabha seats to TRS.
No name from Khammam district in Congress list

The first list of the Congress pertaining to its candidates for the AP Assembly elections was released on Friday in New Delhi. The APCC president D.Srinivas and the former chairman of the Congress Forum for Telangana and convener of the TRCC G.Chinnarao are among the 68 nominations. However, there is no reference to any names pertaining to Khammam district which also goes to the polls in the first phase.
Vijaya Shanti for Hyderabad Seat

After days of suspense, actress Vijaya Shanti has thrown her had in the election ring. The Vice president of the BJP'S Mahila Morcha will contest the Hyderabad Sabha Seat. Her name was cleared by the State Election Committee of the BJP which met here on Friday and recommended to the Central Committee of the party.
Four nominations filed

Four nominations are filed on Friday on each for Visakha 1, Visakha 2, Narsipatnam and Paderu constituencies for the Assembly constituencies for the Assembly elections in the district.
TDP complains to poll panel on launch of YSR campaign vehicle

TDP workers continued to defy the party high command by holding demonstrations for the second successive day on Friday even as two Telugu Yuvatha activists made a vain bid to immolate themselves in Kamareddy town on Friday protesting against the allotment of the seat to BJP.
Naxals gun down TDP worker

The banned PWG naxals gunned down a TDP activist in Gunipalli village of Bukkapatnam mandal in the district on Friday, to avenge the killing of a PWG member Bhupati at Venkatapuram in Ramgiri mandal on Wednesday.
81 nominations filed for Assembly
Hyderabad
Six ministers and the former Deputy Speaker were among the large number of candidates who filed nominations on the third day on Friday. The day saw 81 nominations for the Assembly and Seven for the Lok Sabha.
