AP High Court suspends rule banning telecast of political ads
Hyderabad
A Division Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court suspended the operation of Rule 7(3) of the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994 which formed the basis for the recent directions by the Election Commission prohibiting advertisements by political parties on television. With this interim order, the Election Commission direction is also suspended paving the way for electioneering by parties through the electronic media.
TRS releases first list of six candidates

Mr.K.Chandrasekahara Rao, president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, on Tuesday released the first list of six candidates one for Lok Sabha and five for the Assembly seats including two sitting MLAs and announced the party's support for reviving the Legislative Council.
Poll notification issued

The Election Commission today issued a notification calling upon people to elect members to 21 Parliamentary and 147 Assembly constituencies in the first phase of polling in Andhra Pradesh on April 20th. An official release stated that the respective Returning officers of the constituencies would publish the notification of March 24th. March 31st is the last date of filing nominations which are to be scrutinized by April 2nd. The last date of withdrawals is April 5th. Votes are to be counted on May 13th.

Mr.M.V.Mysoora Reddy who resigned from the Congress recently figures in the list of TDP candidates for 16 Lok Sabha seats in the coming elections.
PWG sympathizer surrenders

A sympathizer of the banned PWG Arun Kumar alias Simhachalam surrendered before the ASP Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday.

The Andhra-Orissa Border Special Zone of the banned PWG killed M.Venkataraju, husband of the Minister for Tribal Welfare Manikumari for being an 'important person in formulating the policies of the TDP. Though Mr.Raju was involved in corruption and amassed properties' the reason for killing him was for being an important TDP functionary it said and ridiculed the statements made by TDP leaders that he was a good person.
