Congress accused of double speak

The Chief Minister Mr.N.Chandra babu Naidu launched a broadside against the AICC president Ms.Sonia Gandhi for her inconsistent talk on the woes of farmers during her current tour. As leader of the opposition for the last six years, she never raised the issue of farmers in the state in the Lok Sabha but took it up strongly in the case of ryots of Congress ruled States.Mr.Naidu says in a press statement on Thursday.

Sonia Gandhi stops at many places during her rally

The second day of the AICC President Ms.Sonia Gandhi's campaign in the state saw a road show covering a major part of the city and extending to the neighboring districts as she covered nearly 70 kms on Thursday. She stopped her bullet proof Safari and either got down to speak to women touching them or stood up on the step of her vehicle, breezily waiving her hands. Regardless of the tight security cordon thrown around her by the SPG and local police, she broke the security rules time and again.

Special train for Vijayawada-Sonia's meeting

Speaking to the reporters on Thursday, the City Congress Committee president Dronamraju Srinivasarao shad a special train carrying Congress workers to Vijayawada for the public meeting to be addressed by the All India Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi will leave here 6am on Friday. He said that all necessary arrangements were made for the workers.

The website gives information about the history of the Congress its growth and achievements. The site would also gives information about the 2004 election manifesto, latest news about the election campaign and events in the party.

Rousing reception to Sonia Gandhi

The AICC president Sonia Gandhi received a rousing reception on her third visit to the Karimnagar town to address a public meeting at Ambedkar stadium on Thursday. There was a massive turnout at the meeting as Congress leaders had mobilized people from Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nizamabad and Warangal districts.

Dacoits takes away Rs. 10 Lakhs jewelry from industrialists house

Ramachandranagar, Tirupati

Its dacoits time as usual who broke into the house of D Damodar Naidu, an industrialist who resides in Kapilathirtham near Ramachandranagar in Tirupati who went to Hyderabad along with his family members locking his house. The thieves getting this information entered into the house and stole jewelry worth Rs. 10 Lakhs and cash to a tune of Rs. 25,000. A case was registered at the local police station. The theft is well planned that the police could find no important clues in regard to the crime.

Rs. 1.5 Lakhs worth Red Sandal seized

Cuddapah

District Forest Officer Sundar said that they have arrested three persons and seized 201 logs of Red Sandal being near the Annamaiah Project range. The cost of the Sandal wood is estimated at Rs. 1.5 Lakhs. Four other persons from the lorry in which they are carrying the log have managed to escape from the spot.
