TDP activists migrate into TRS
Hyderabad
The Telengana Rashtra Samithi witnessed a heavy inflow of TDP cadre from Telengana districts into its fold at a meeting organized by it on Thursday. The migration covered right from the gross root level workers to MPTC and ZPTC members and mandal party presidents and some Corporators of Warangal town. Addressing a meeting, the TRS president, K.Chandrasekhararao said the party was not against the Sate Government taking up Pulichintala project on the Krishna for the benefit of Coastal districts if the irrigation requirements of Mahabubnagar districts were met.
CPRO assumes charge for SC Railway

MLA's son arrested

S.Prasad babu, the son of a TDP MLA of Rayachoti, S.Palakondarayudu was arrested by the police on Wednesday evening. A case has been booked against him for allegedly destroying an electronic voting machine and assaulting a Congress polling agent on polling day. He was produced before the Magistrate and later released on bail.
Two dies as Lorry catches fire in Vijayawada
Vijayawada
Two persons were burnt alive while one suffered grievous injuries when a hay-laden lorry caught fire after running into an electric pole on Thursday. The vehicle went out of control and hit an electric pole on the road margin and caught fire.
BSNL on heavy expansion

The Chief General Manager, AP Telecom Circle, Hyderabad Sanjaya Kumar said that the Circle is contemplating huge investment to a tune of Rs.1200 crores to provide an additional 12 lakh mobile connections during this financial year. He said on Thursday that BSNL plans to expand facilities in Cellular, WILL and CDMA areas also.
Fees structure finalized for Professional courses

The Fee Fixation Committee headed by the former High Court Judge, Bayyapu Reddy has finalized the fee structure for the Professional courses MBA,MCA and law courses apart form engineering. In case of non-minority colleges, the fee will be Rs.20,000/- for the 85 per cent of MBA/MCA seats under Convener quota while the managements can fill the rest of 15 percent with a fee not exceeding Rs.60,000/-.
Two gold merchants murdered in Srikakulam
Srikakulam
Two Gold Merchants G.Chandra Gupta and N.Ravindranath were doing gold ornamental business near Palasa in Srikakulam District. As usual these two went out for collections in the morning and could not return back even late in the night. On Thursday morning, the police received a call about the dead bodies, and on enquiry, these two were identified as Gold Merchants. The police are investigating the case.
