Simultaneous cease-fire - naxals
Hyderabad
In response to Home Minister K.Jana Reddy's statement asking naxals to come out for talks, they responded that simultaneous cease-fire is the pre-requisite for the talks. It stated that if the Government agrees for the cease-fire agreement, PW is ready to announce 'committee'. The Minister announced that there would be no loss of life during the peace process.
Religious teachers will be recruited in Army
Visakhapatnam
Junior Commissioned Officers (Religious teachers) posts will be held at Chennai on September 6th followed by a written test on September 12th. Candidates from Andhra and Tamil Nadu have to send their applications to the Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Fort St.George, Chennai 9 on or before July 16th according to Col.Tiwari.
Police kills two sons
Vizianagaram
A police constable allegedly killed his two sons and attempted to commit suicide in a lodge here on Monday midnight. However, the lodge people could snuff the situation and taken all these three to the hospital where the two sons were declared dead and the constable is recovering.
Rs.59 crores aid from NABARD
Hyderabad
National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has sanctioned Rs 59.91 crores as loan assistance to the State Government for taking up 19 minor irrigation projects and two lift irrigation projects according to a press release.
Transfers Ban lifted
Hyderabad
The Government has lifted the ban on transfers imposed two years ago, will be lifted for a month with immediate effect reversing the earlier GO through which the ban was introduced.
