Government website hacked

A Brazilian hacker who goes by the handle- Fatal Error- on Saturday morning defaced the website of the Andhra Pradesh Housing Board. However, the web masters have repaired the defaced home page and rehosted the site. The hackers removed the entire material on the homepage (www.aphb.gov.in) and posted an incomprehensible message in Portuguese.

Agitators remove rail track

A group of agitating workers, belonging to the Congress, Telengana Rashtra Samithi and Left Paries, led by the Adilabad MLA C.Ramachander Reddy, removed the newly laid railway tract on the Adilabad-Mudkhed line. The agitators were demanding shifting of the level crossing on the line from km 160 to km 159/2. Addressing agitators, the MLA threatened to continue the agitation until their demand was conceded.

Major fire in India Cements Factory

A major fire broke out in the India Cements Ltd., factory at Chilamakur in Yerraguntla mandal on Saturday, reportedly due to electrical short circuit causing an approximate loss of Rs.15 crores. No Causalities were reported. Fire tenders from Proddatur, Kamalapuram and RTPP rushed and put off the flames. Old wiring or damage to the wiring by rodents might have caused the mishap according to the ICL officials.

The Vigilance and Enforcement team, headed by the SP BV Ramanakumar, raided a rice mill at Veerisettigudem on Saturday and arrested its owners reportedly seized 30 tonnes of rice meant for the works under the 'Food-for-Work' in Kamavarapukota mandal.
