Two dead in quarry blast in Srikakulam
Srikakulam
In a quarry accident at Rapaka in Ponduru police limits, two persons were killed accidentally while 50 bombs were planted in a quarry. Stone supply contractor Prasad Rao who belongs to Anakapalle and Compressor proprietor Srinu died on the spot itself while one supervisor Sanyasirao with severe injuries.Ponduru SI Venugopalarao is investigating the case.
GO 610 implementation

The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy who was speaking at a meeting of the Telengana Non-Gazetted Officers' Central Union on Friday instructed the Chief Secretary, Mohan Kanda to take necessary steps for implementation of GO 610. In this connection, he assured that the Government is committed in this regard and taking necessary measures to implement 6 point Formula to safeguard the interests of Telengana.
Money back policy by SBI Life

Rahul Kohili, the SBI Life Coordinator while speaking reporters on Friday said the SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd., a joint venture of State Bank of India and Cardiff SA of France, has launched a money back policy in the city. He said the new policy was savings oriented with an added advantage of life cover and cash inflow at regular intervals of three, four and five years.

The police busted a racket of illegal cooking of gas business and arrested four persons allegedly involved in it. The police arrested four persons involved in this affair and seized 20 HP Gas cylinders.

A lorry owner was hacked to death allegedly by his rivals in public view at Cumbum town on Friday. The accused persons along with 12 others arrived when the victim was conversing with his friends at lorry owners' association office.

The Social Welfare Minister, D.Redya Naik, on Friday said that special courts would be constituted in each district to try cases would be constituted in each district to try cases of atrocities against Dalits by reducing the number of mobile courts.
