Proposed move on talks with naxals

The Peace Initiative Committee has resolved to extend full support to the proposed peace talks between the Government and the CPI(ML) PW. In a statement issued , the convener thanked the Peoples War for choosing one of its members, Bojja Tarakam, one of the mediators for the talks.
DSP dismissed

A former Deputy Superintendent of Police of Yellandu in Khammam district, K.Ramesh Kumar was dismissed from service as the charges of corruption against him were proved in a departmental enquiry. The ACB submitted a report to the Government on the alleged corrupt practices resorted while he was working as Yellandu DSP in 1992-93.
Two farmers commit suicide
In Cuddapah and Anantapur, two farmers committed suicide due to debt ridden and other financial reasons, despite the fact that the Chief Minister is repeatedly giving assurances.
Visakhapatnam Steel Plant gesture

The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant donated ten lakhs to Arunodaya Special School in Ukkunagaram for training and rehabilitation of physically challenged children. The CMD of Steel Plant, BK.Panda, on Saturday handed over the cheque to the president of Visteel Mahila Samithi, Renubala Panda.

After assuming charge as Chief Minister, Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy while addressing a massive meeting assured that the Pulichintala Project will be completed in a two years period. Addressing a press conference, he said that the affected due to submergence while executing the project need not have any fear as they would be paid compensation in full before completion of the project.
