Cine actor Allu Ramalingaiah passes away

Padmasree aware, famous Telugu cine actor Allu Ramalingiah passed away on Friday night. He was 82. He acted in more than 1000 movies. His film career started way back in 1953.
Cases against PW emissaries may be withdrawn
Hyderabad
The Home Minister, K.Jana Reddy is in a fix. He said that the criminal cases against the PW emissaries registered by the Warangal Police are not wrong thing as it was done according to law. The PW emissaries have categorically stated that they will not participate till the cases are withdrawn. In the sensitive context, the Home Minister gave enough hints to withdraw the cases and continue peace talks. He said the Government is examining the possibility of withdrawing the cases.

The action committee for protection of Andhra University burnt the effigy of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof.YC.Simhadri in front of the Administrative office on Friday to protest against his anti student and anti employee attitude.

The Centre of Indian Trade Unions will conduct an all India campaign from August 9th to 14th demanding withdrawal of ‘anti-working ‘class decisions in the recent budget. According to a press release on Friday, its demands were withdrawal of decision to increase foreign investments in telecom, insurance and airways, revival of sick PSUs, 12% interest on PF etc.,
RP Meena gets promotion

Well noted Police Officer, RP.Meena, DIG, Home Guards has been promoted as IGP and posted him as IG of Rayalaseema region with retrospective effect. To this effect, a GO has been issued by the Chief Secretary on Thursday.
Dengue cases on high side
Khammam
Nearly thirty five cases have been registered so far of Dengue in the various parts of the State according to S.Chandrasekhar Goud, Additional Director of Health. He said that he was taking necessary steps to prevent the disease. He stated that two cases of dengue had been reported in Khammam and Warangal nearly 10 cases have been so far registered.

In the wake of viral fever cases being reported in several villages in Karimnagar, the District Medical and Health Department has chalked out an action plan to check the spread of the diseases. The DM & HO has warned the officials of stern action if they failed to reside at their place of postings and negligence in extending proper timely treatment. In this connection, one cerebral malaria case was reported in Srikakulam.
