Government asks support for peace talks with naxals

The Home Minister, K.Jana Reddy, while speaking at a seminar on 'Parliamentary democracy - talks between the State Government and naxalites', on Sunday urged the intellectuals and general public to support the Government's ongoing efforts to bring peaceful solution to the naxalite problem. The Minister welcomed the suggestions from all sections towards making the current peace imitate a success.

German Government aid for Vijayawada Thermal Power Station
Hyderabad
The German Government which has agreed to fund the expansion of the Vijayawada Thermal Power Station is showing interest in infrastructure improvement and other works to be undertaken. Assistance from the German Government would come in two phases i.e., identification and planning, and implementation of pilot project to be undertaken in the next two to eight years according to the Chairman and Managing Director R.Chatterjee on Saturday.
