State Interst Liability to go to Rs. 9000 crores

Addressing students of the School of Economics in Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on Thursday, Senior Economist and Journalist V Hanumantha Rao said that the State debts will cross Rs.70,000 crore mark by 2005-06.

He said the interest liability would go up to nine thousand crores from the present seven thousand crores quoting from a memorandum submitted by the Government to the Finance Commission.
