| Gun foundry to be a tourist attraction |

Hyderabad Gunfoundoury will be shortly excavated to unearth the original surface of the foundry where casting of grounds and cannons was undertaken during the Asfjahi period. The department of Archaeology has worked out a detailed plan for excavation, conservation and restoration of the only surviving foundry in the State Capital. It is proposed to illuminate the entire place after proper landscaping to make it tourist friendly. The cost of the project is estimated to Rs.6.5 lakhs. |

| New beach resort to come up near Bhimili |

Visakhapatnam A new resort is coming up near Jodugullapalem on the Visakhapatnam - Bhimili beach road as a part of the Government initiative to promote tourism. Destiny Clubs, a Rs.2.15 crore project has been sanction to the City of Destiny Clubs and Resorts on a BOT basis by the Department of Tourism. It is the first of the seven such projects and the promoter has been given 12 months time to complete the work. |

Visakhapatnam An 11 member cycle expedition of the Coast Guard to Kakinada was flagged off by Saroja Prasad, President of the Tatraksjhika (Organisation of the wives of Coast Guard officers) here on Saturday. The Expedition was organized as part of the Coast Guard's anniversary celebrations to create awareness among fishermen about their safety at sea, equipment to be carried while on fishing voyage, conservation of marine wealth, the toll free Coast Guard helpline telephone number 1718 and other aspects. |
