| Agitating doctors called off strike |

Hyderabad The agitating junior doctors have called off the 43days strike informed the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday of their decision to call off agitation in deference to the court which had initiated steps to appoint a committee to examine issues raised by them. The names of the committee members will be finalized on January 27th and final orders passed the bench said. The court recorded the contention of the Government that it was accepting the information of the committee to look into the issues and the stand of the Junior doctors that the strike was being called off. |

Cuddapah A six year old son of a sweet shop owner in Rayachoti town was kidnapped for ransom and strangled to death in the early hours of Friday. It could be the handiwork of a worker of the sweet shop who was removed recently for swindling money according to the Rayachoti Urban Circle Inspector. |
