The State Government has formed a committee consisting of Mayor Rajana Ramani, The District Collector Sunil Sarma, Municipal Commissioner Mr.Navin Mittal, Police Commissioner Mr.B.Prasada Rao, VUDA Vice Chairman Mr. Dasari Srinivasulu and Municipal AddiionalCommissioner Ms.Aasa Jyothi for all round development of the city. The Member were allotted various areas for speedy development of the city.

Naxals exchange fire with Police

As a part of combing operations in the think forest area at Kantamulupakalu in Gudem Kotha veeehi in Visakhapatnam agency area, there is heavy exchange of fire between naxals and police personnel on Tuesday morning. The naxals blasted two mine bombs but police narrowly escaped.
