Two killed in quarry blast in Warangal

Two persons died when gelatin sticks suddenly exploded in a quarry at Jaigiri village of Hasanparthy mandal in the early hours of Thursday.

A factory worker infected with HIV, allegedly killed his two sons and his wife before attempting suicide early on Thursday in Ramachandrapuram village of Medak district who has been shifted to Gandhi Hospital where he was struggling for his life.
Huge haul of contraband silver and cash in Tirupati

The Renigunta police today seized contraband silver and cash by trapping a duo hanging around the Renigunta railway junction with the booty. The two moving around the railway foot-over bridge with the contraband goods and hard cash to a tune of Rs.4.41 lakhs under suspicious circumstances were overpower by the police.
VPT bidding for all time high throughput

The Visakhapatnam Port Trust appears on course to posting the all time high cargo through put in the major port sector in the country this fiscal. Official sources said that the port registered 42.7 million tonnes of throughput till Thursday and would have to account for an additional four million tonnes of traffic during the remainder of the current fiscal to surpass the national record of 46.30 million tonnes held by Kandla port.

VUDA caution on unauthorized layouts

The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority has cautioned the people against purchasing plots in unauthorized layouts and losing their hard earned money according to Chief Urban Planner. He said that Somi Estates and Housing Private Ltd., was selling plots to the lands adjacent to the approved layouts of Vellanki Peddipalem village by allegedly altering the approved layout boundary.

Kurnool Dairy, the public sector milk producers' cooperative union will diversify into mineral water production and sale shortly. The dairy has installed a unit on its campus here at a cost of Rs.20 lakhs.The dairy planned to bottle in 20 ml Bulk tins, one litre bottles and 250ml pouches. the product will be sold in the market as "Vijaya mineral Water".
