Food poisoning - 108 girls hospitalized

Nearly 108 girl students from a tribal welfare hostel in Kothagudem were hospitalized due to food poinging.The ITDA Project Officer and other senior officials from the district rushed to the spot and the students were rushed to the Government Hospital after first aid by local doctors.
TRS chief promises quota hike for tribals

Top Priority for irrigation projects - CM

The Chief Minister N.Chandrababunaidu has said that during the last nine years of his rule he has spent over Rs 10,000 crores to bring additional 13 lakh acres of land under cultivating by creating irrigation sources, while addressing a public meeting. He said the Government has given the top priority to irrigation projects keeping in view of the backwardness of Telangana particularly drought prone districts.
Guidelines for admission under EdCET announced

The Regional Coordinator of the Education Common Entrance Test 2003 (Ed.CET 2003 ) for Andhra University area has announced guidelines for the admission process framed at a meeting held in Hyderabad recently. The online admission process will be held at the Government Polytechnic here from February 22nd to March 16th and the candidates have to follow the notification of the Convenor of Ed.CET regarding the date they have to appear for the counseling based on the rank, subject and category.
Collector recommends suspension of RDO
Anantapur
The RDO of Anantapur K.Geeta allegedly misappropriated and diverted about Rs.46 lakhs of Government funds. After finding the charges correct in an inquiry, the District Collector Y.V.Anuradha sent a report to the State Government and recommended suspension of the RDO.The Collector also sent a report to the SP for initiating criminal proceedings.
Congress to review World Bank loan arrangements

The AP Congress Committee President D.Srinivas on Friday said a commission of inquiry would be ordered into the utilization of World Bank loan of Rs.45,000 crores taken by the Telugu Desam Government and to review all the loan arrangements if his party comes to power.
