Aircraft crash in Guntur

A pilot of the Andhra Pradesh Aviation Academy died and an engineer was injured critically when the two seater aircraft crash4ee near Chintal Tanda village in Guntur district on Wednesday afternoon. The Aircraft had earlier forecelanded on an abandoned airstrip near the crash site on Saturday and was being test flown after it was repaired. According to the Gurajala DSP Chalapati Rao, the aircraft took off around 1pm after repairs and it was airborne for an hour. The pilot landed it and again took off. It crashed within moments of being airborne again. Officials at the Aviation Academy located in Old Bowenpally refused to divulge any information regarding the crash.

New pool panel chief

AVS Reddy, a retired IAS Officer and for Director General of the National Institute of Rural Development assumed charge as the State Election Commissioner on Wednesday. Speaking to reporters, Mr.Reddy said he was committed to conducting elections to municipalities and Panchayat bodies as per schedule in March 2005 provided the Government completed delimitation of wards and divisions and notified reservations for SCs, STs and BCs based on 2001 population census.

District judge selections

The written examination for the posts of Grade II District judge by direct recruitment will be held on January 30 from 10am to 1pm at Hyderabad, Tirupati, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam according to High Court press release. Eligible advocates may contact the district courts where they are practicing after 5th January for obtaining hall tickets. Those practicing in Hyderabad may contact the Chief Judge, City Civil Court.

Open University MBA results out

The final year results of MBA course offered by the Dr.BR Ambedkar Open University have been declared. The memorandum of marks will be dispatched to students shortly. The paper wise results will be available at the study centres according to a university press release.
