Court suspends warrant on KCR

The city court on Thursday suspended the operation of the non-bailable arrest warrant against the Union Minister and TRS president, K.Chandrasekhararao on the condition that he will appear before the Court on September 15th who involved in a cheating case without fail. The Fifth Metropolitan Magistrate at the Nampally criminal courts complex, M.Gandhi passed the oraders.The Magistrate issued orders to the police not to execute the orders earlier issued.

The Home Minister, K.Jana Reddy wrote letters to top PW leaders Ramakrishna suggesting PW cadre carrying weapons while propagating ideology in villages. His main objection was that if the Government allowed PW Cadre to carry weapons, anti-social elements such as rowdy-sheeters and faction leaders would take advantage of the situation.

The Minister announced two names as representatives of the Government T.Gopalarao, a retired IAS officer and K.Ramachandra Murty, Editor, Andhra Jyothi adding to the existing names. He spoke to Gaddar for nearly an hour before handing over the letters.

Recruitment begins by APPSC

The Government on Thursday gave the green signal to the recruitment of some 1100 posts by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. The Irrigation Department has a major share of vacancies in this with above 250 posts of Assistant Executive Engineer which is to be filled and next comes the Roads and Buildings Department with 88 vacancies of assistant engineers and nearly 70 posts of excise sub inspector while 106 junior lecturers need to be recruited.
Inter-State Gang nabbed in Visakhapatnam

The police arrested inter-state gang involved in majority of the house burgling etc., and recovered gold, silver and other items worth Rs.2 lakhs from four youngsters and cash and other valuables worth Rs.one lakh were seized from another three according to the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, AV Subba Rao at a press conference on Thursday.

KC.Reddy, the Director, Centre for SAARC studies, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam has been appointed as Chairman of the AP State Council of Higher Education in place of Prof.Subba Rao who resigned on Thursday following the Government's decision to seek the resignation of retired officers.
