Regularization of illegal farm connections not possible - says YSR

The Chief Minister YS.Rajasekhara Reddy has rejected the plea for regularization of 3.5 illegal farm power connections, but relented to allow them for the Khariff season. In an all party meeting held on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that irrigation would be provided to one crop uniformly in different ayacuts of the Krishna in the three regions of the State totaling 44 lakh acres.

On heart operations to the ailing children, the decision were taken by a consensus was to go ahead with the operations on the 5,600 cases identified in 19 districts. At the press conference, the Chief Minister ruled out blanket regularization of the existing illegal farm connections even after the season on the ground that the system would collapse due to the overload depriving the legitimate ones.
Children taken ill after taking mid day meal
Bhimavaram
Nearly one hundred students were taken ill after consuming mid-day meal at a primary school in Dongapindi village on Wednesday. All of them were taken to nearby hospital for immediate medical aid.
Gurupuja Mahotsavam on Saturday

V.Ravikiranrao is ACB Counsel

VASVIK award to DRDO scientist

E.Bhagiratharao, a retired DRDO Scientist has been chosen for the prestigious Vivadhalaxi Audyogik Samshodan Vikas Kendra award for his contribution to electrical and electronic services and technologies. The Award carrying a cash prize of Rs.50,000 and a citation will by presented by the Minister for Civil Aviation in Mumbai on September 18th.
Pollution Board to monitor water quality levels at Krishna Pushakarams

The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board will monitor the water quality levels at the 14 ghats and keep pilgrims informed of the same apart from carrying awareness campaign through signboards, posters and pamphlets on keeping the surroundings clean, avoiding usage of plastic bags, during the Krishna Purskharams. This was disclosed by the Forests and Environment Minister while releasing the publicity material on Wednesday.
TDP demands dismissal of Minister

The Telugu Desam Party on Wednesday asked the Chief Minister, YS.Rajasekhara Reddy to dismiss the Civil Supplies Minister G.Vijaya Rama Rao and initiate 'civil and criminal proceedings' against him as per the provisions of the Land Grabbing Act. Addressing a press conference, the TDP leaders maintained the High Court judgment of 2003.

The Mandal Education Officer of Rolugunta of Visakhapatnam district S.Raghunadhacaryulu was arrested by the ACB officials on charge of accepting Rs. 2,000 bribe at his residence in Peda Boddepalli from a retired head master on Wednesday.
