Manmadhudu wins Golden Nandi Awards for 2002
The State Government announced Nandi Awards for the year 2002. The Best movies for the year were adjudged as Manmadhudu, Nuvve Nuvve and Santoshan. Krishna Vamsi won the best Director award. The best Actor awards were jointly awarded to Chiranjeevi (Indra) and Nagarjuna(Santoshan). The best Actress award was Kaveri (Kalyani) for her role in Avunu Vaariddaru Isthapaddaru. Khadgam was chosen as the National Integration Award. Vaasu as Best Family Movie. Prakash Raj and Bhanupriya were chosen as best supporting actors. Muppalaneni Siva for best Screenplay, Usha and SP Balasubrahmanyam were chosen to be best singers.

Mahesh Babu and Junior NTR were chosen for special awards. Home Minster Devendar Gowd, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and others were present at the announcement meet.
