Congress demands removal of Rama Subbareddy from cabinet
The Congress party demanded the withdrawal of Rama Subbareddy from the cabinet or asked for the resignation of the Chief Minister.

CLP Leader says Speaker is biased
CLP Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy said his team members have attempted to bring the issues to the discussions in the Assembly but were often misled by the Government. He said that Speaker Mrs. K Prathiba Barati was not giving mikes and adequate time for the party.

Speaker Mrs. Prathiba Barati however said that she is giving fair chance to all members. Referring to the comments made by CLP Leader, she said that she 'has not even renewed her membership at the party ever since' she became Speaker.

Congress 'Bus Yatra' from October 9
The State Party officially said that it has confirmed the 'Bus Yatra' program in which Senior Congress party members will tour and meet people in various parts.

Stamp on Tenneti Viswanatham to be released
The Dr. Tenneti Viswanatham Memorial Committee General Secretary KSK Srinivasachari said that the BJP President M Venkiah Naidu has informed that a commemorative stamp on eminent freedom fighter Tenneti Viswanantham will be released at his 25th anniversary on November 10, 2003.

Southern Railways in winner of RPF Athletic Championships
The Southern Railways won the 13th All-India Railway Protection Force Athletic Championships held in Hyderabad. Governor of Andhra Pradesh Surjit Singh Barnala gave medals to the outstanding players at the RRC Grounds.

Simhadri power units begins power generation
The two units at the Simhadri Thermal Project began power generation. The units will generate upto 20 million units of power per day. The total installed capacity of the unit is 1000 MW per day. Joint Managing Director of APTransco K Durga Prasad announced that of the 140 million units that was coming out from the grid, 40 million units were earmarked for the farming sector.
