State Assembly Monsoon sessions begins
The Monsoon sessions of the State Assembly began today. Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu met customarily leaders of the Opposition parties. He even cracked jokes with CLP Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy as if they were close friends.

Youth Congress attempts Chalo Assembly
State Youth Congress tried to enter into the premises of the Assembly with their Chalo Assembly program but were interrupted by the Police.

Mr. Sanjaya Kumar is new CGM of BSNL - announces new schemes
Mr. Sanjaya Kumar assumed charge as the new Chief General Manager of BSNL AP Telecom Circle.

Tourism Day held
Tourism day is observed in Warangal with rally. Special programs, rallies and contests for school children were conducted. District Collector N Shivashankar joined in the rally from the Collector Office to Public Gardens. An Exhibition on Eco tours and vegetables was held.

AP NGO asks for 3-member panel for fare revision
AP NGO's Association in Visakhapatnam demanded the Government for a fare revision. They asked for the formation of a 3 member team immediately to look into the issue. The elections of the association will be held on 27th next month.

BJP members in Nizamabad demanded that AP Tranco should stop forceful recoveries of power bills from the farmers in the region.

4 dies in road accident
4 persons died and 2 more were injured in an accident at the Mahaboobnagar - Nirashpalle on the National Highway 7. The accident occurred at 2 AM in the morning when a van and a lorry collided. The drivers of both vehicles died on the spot while the injured were rushed to the hospital.

Farmers begins relay strike for water in Kurnool
Farmers in Kurnool began a relay hunger strikes demanding for Krishna river water from the Srisailam Project.
