Singareni Collieries announces suspension of 4 officials
Hyderabad, October 22, 2003

Singareni Collieries has announced the suspension of four of its officials who were believed to be responsible for the recent accident at the Godavarikhani-8A mine in Khammam that claimed the lives of 10 laborers.

The suspended employees was made after the report of the Internal Safety Organization report was submitted to the Management.

The suspended employees are:
  • Ch. Dayanand - Deputy Manager/Safety Officer
  • M Srihari - Superindent of Mines
  • P Ranga Reddy - Under Manager
  • S Shankara Chary - Head - Overman
It may be recalled that the Management of Singareni Collieries has announced suspension of some officials when a similar accident was held in July 2003.
