Metro Train Project to be signed soon
Hyderabad, October 26, 2003

Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya said that the State Government and the Center will signup a contract of the Metro Train Project in Hyderabad. The ambitious Rs. 4000 Crores project is expected to give a break to some of the traffic programs of the twin cities of Hyderabad.

Sri Dattatreya said that 15% of the expenditure of the Project will be shared by the State and 15% to the Center while the remaining 70% of the cost will have to be brought from other sources.

Sri Dattatreya said that the project works will be completed as early as possible. "This is a very important project. Happy that Chief Minister has come forwarded", he said. He termed the project 'historic for Hyderabad people'.
