CM holds Cabinet meet - decides to give subsidy on seeds
Hyderabad

Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu had a meeting today at his residence. Almost all Cabinet Minister attended this meeting which discussed on various issues.

Information Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy who spoke with the press later said that the meeting was a regular meeting and discussed about various problems of the people in the state. He said that the Cabinet decided to grant in Rs. 4 lakhs for those who were hit in rains in Srikakulam.

Apart from the Kharif subsidy, the cabinet also decided to give subsidy on seeds for farmers who were hit due to drought.

Arrangements begins at Tirupati
With Chief Minister's visit to Tirupati almost confirmed, police and security forces began to have a strict vigil this time at Tirumala. Anatapuram Range Incharge DIG was believed to be informed about this. TTD Chairman T Chalapathi Rao meanwhile, speaking to a private channel confirmed that a helipad will be constructed at Tirumala in the wake of recent attack on Chief Minister himself. Mr. Rao said that the decision will be discussed with priests and shortly be finalized.
Bundh in Anantapur ends peacefully
Bundh in Anantapur was observed today. The Bundh which made all Government offices, petrol bunks, banks and cinema halls was called by Peoples War Group. The bundh was found partial but the town remained in the grip of fear. Bus services by APSRTC were suspended for the day.
Police & People rallies against Naxals in Kurnool
Police and people in Kurnool district took out a rally of a different kind. They railed in the district raising slogans 'Maa Seemaku raavaddu..' (Don't come to our lands) against naxals. District SP Sanjay thanked the people for coming forward and driving the Naxals who entered into their areas. A logo on the topic was released.

Employees of AP Transco and Discom staged a demonstration at Warangal and Nellore demanding of filling vacant Bill collector and Revenue Staff jobs that are pending since a long time. They demanded minimum wages for contractual staff. Members from the United Electricity Employees Union (UEEU) supported the demonstration

One person died due to severe pain of the lathi of the police. The person was arrested by the police 10 days ago for illegal selling of the baned ghutka 10 days ago in Vijayawada. He was admitted in a hospital and died today.

A watchman of a local temple at Nizamabad was found murdered by an assailant who was moving under suspicious conditions.
