The Hindu celebrates its 125 years of presence

The India's National Newspaper since 1878 - The Hindu, celebrated its 125 years of presence at a program held at the Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad. The celebrations program was attended by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu, Congress Legislative Party Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Chairman of Dr. Reddy Laboratories Mr. K Anji Reddy, vice Chancellor of University of Hyderabad Sri Kota Harinarayana, Joint Managing Director N Murali, Editor-In-chief N Ram, Publisher S Rangarajan and others.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Naidu said, "If any newspaper has not surrendered to sensationalism and negative reporting, it is only The Hindu". He paid homage to the founding fathers of The Hindu and said Andhra Pradesh is proud to have two telugu people in the list.

CLP Leader Dr. Reddy quoted, "The Hindu has always been conservative in its language, it is never so on its commitments and convictions".
Sri Anji Reddy of Dr. Reddy Labs said that The Hindu always gives importance to Tolerance and the Art of Living.

Sri Harinarayana said The Hindu is always an inspiration source for the youth.

Officials from The Hindu spoke on various activities related to The Hindu and affirmed their commitment to quality reporting in the future as in the past.
