Rs. 2.5 Lakhs looted from a house in Visakhapatnam
Over Rs. 2 Lakhs worth property was looted from a house of Retired Professor of King George Hospital in Doctors Colony in Visakhapatnam. Initial investigation by police reveals that this is an act of Stuvartupuram decoits.
Kale case Enquiry from tomorrow at Visakhapatnam
Enqiry Commission Chairman DVSubba Rao The Enquiry on the case related to the Marathi Cricket player Abhijit Kale bribing two selectors Kiran More and Pranab Rai for a possible seat in the Indian squad will begin at Visakhapatnam from tomorrow. This was stated by BCCI Enquiry Commission Chairman DV Subba Rao. The enquiry is expected to begin at 10:30 AM at Hotel Taj Residency. The enquiry may go for two to three days and the enquiry report will be sent to BCCI in about 15 days.

The Department of Endowments signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Intec Group in the presence of Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu on a project entitled "Devalayam Project" that is aimed at computerizing over 2000 temples in the state.
Navy Mela 2003 begins at INS Satavahana

Naval Rear Admiral AK Kalla inaugurated the Navy Mela Exhibition organized at the INS Satavarhana Sports Grounds at Visakhapatnam. Over 100 stalls were set up at the Exhibition.

Students from many local schools visited the exhibition and came to know about various Naval equipment and how the Indian Navy is protecting the country on water.
Jayalalitha meets Chandrababu Naidu on Kandaleru water
Chief Minister of Tamil Naidu Ms. J Jayalalitha met her Andhra counterpart Mr. Chandrababu Naidu for Kandaleru water for Chennai. Mr. Naidu said that the water levels at the place were not up to the mark and that a decision will on the issue will be taken in two days time. This was announced to the Press by Minister for Major and Minor Irrigation Kadiyan Srihari.

PCC to go to EC as TDP misuses administration
PCC President Mr. D Srinivas said that the TDP is misusing the Government administration by taking advantage of Chaduvula Panduga and all other Government programs and that it will be going to Election Commission with this point. He spoke with the press at Nizamabad today and said that TDP has commented that the Congress has links with Naxals without any proof. He felt that discussions with the Naxls was the real solution for the subtle problem.
CPI & CPM stages dharna on ration cards issue
Supporters of the CPM staged a dharna in Nizamabad against the Government for allocating Ration cards in a hurry and denying the real eligible people. Tension marred between the supporters and the Police when the later prevented them from entering Collectorate.

A similar dharna was also observed in Anatapur when CPI supporters in large numbers tried to enter the Collectorate. The Police however prevented them from doing so.

TDP Party President Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu asked the Naxals to join the mainstream and talk with them on various issues related to the state. Mr. Naidu is rallying over the state for the party as the elections are fast approaching.
