TDP State-representatives meeting held - Agrees for dissolution
TDP Party President Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the TDP State Representatives meeting today. The meeting decided to dissolve the State Assembly. Chief Minister Mr. Naidu is expected to convene a meeting with his party leaders and the Cabinet and meet Governor Sri Surjit Singh Barnala announcing the state.
Congress supporters joins TDP
In what is considered as a major blow to the Congress Party, over 1000 members joined the Telugu Desam Party at the NTR Bhawan in Hyderabad. The list of those who joined TDP includes the Muncipal Chairman of Ramagundam S Satyanarayana and four Corporators.
Material used for blasting seized
Over Rs. 5 Lakhs worth of material used for blasting was seized at Punepalli in Kalavangunta of Chitoor district. The police found a bag of 5200 gelatin sticks, fuse wires and electric detonators that were used in quarries.
