Intermediate first year results released

Minister Sri NMD Farooq released results of First Year Intermediate Examinations. This years results showed girls faring more over boys. Advanced Supplementary Examination for those who have failed in the exams will be conducted on June 19. Unlike previous years, Board of Intermediate released first years results instead of second. The results of Second year Intermediate Examination will be released on May 12, 2003.

Health Minister makes surprise visit

Health Minister Sri Kodela Sivaprasada Rao made a surprise visit to Government Hospital in Anantapur. He enquired about services given to patients. Minister was told about bribery in the Outpatient ward for which the Minister asked the Collector to take strict action on those who were taking bribes. He also visited medical college and asked for implementing better facilities.

Funeral of Minister's brother held

Funeral of Sri Chintakayalla Ramannapatrudu - brother of Ch Ayyannapatrudu was held today in his hometown of Narasipatnam. Sri Ramannapatrudu died yesterday in a road accident in Hyderabad.

PCC President interacts with Tirupati farmers

PCC President Mr. M Satyanarayana Rao said that free power to agricultural farmers will given to enable farmers to give water for high level areas when Congress comes to power. He interacted with farmers in Tirupati. MSR supporterd CLP Leader YSR's Paada yatra and said that he will call upon district wise leaders and bridge gap to minimize differences among them.

CLP Leader tours in Warangal and Khammam

CLP Leader Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy said that TDP-led Government is looking at making business in all sectors including the Agriculture sector. CLP leader received a warm welcome by farmers in Dornagal of Warangal and Illigendu of Khammam. 'Jai Congress and Jai Telangana' slogans and banners with Telangana area were found in the rally.

Air Force to display its skills in Hyderabad

Air Marshall B K Pandey said that Indian Airforce will display its fleet and skills of its personnel in Hyderabad on May 10. An exhibition featuring all major planes used by the armed forces will be put on display at Begumpet Airport.

Rowdy sheeter found murdered

A Rowdy sheeter Mr. Tammineni Seetaramayya alias Bujji was found murdered in Anantapur. Police began investigation in the case.

UTF asks for Inter-district transfer

United Teachers Forum submitted a memorandum asking for Inter-District transfers. They earlier staged a dharna in Hyderabad. Among their demands were promotions of B.Com amd B.Ed teachers as School Assistant etc.

PWG bundh found no where

Bundh called by People's War Group State Committee ended peacefully and is not visible in the state. The Bundh was called against encounter of Ramanareddy and Komarayya. Bundh was however partially visible in Karimnagar, Waraganl and Adilabad. APSRTC busses to remote areas were stopped. Police escorted some busses as a safe side.Bundh was however visible in Mulugu, Parakalapalle and other areas where PWG has a hold.

A 2 day Workshop of Irrigation Department began in Hyderabad. Minister Sri Kadiyam Srihari inaugurated the workshop and said that the State Government has allocated Rs. 2000 Crores for spending during the year. He said that the gap between Chief Engineers and Superindent Engineering has to be bridged.
Transport Majdur Sangh staged a paada yatra today in Tirupati asking for simplification of rules to conductors. They asked to stop increment and DA cuts.
Members of Podupu Lakshmi DWACRA Groups committees staged a dharna at Collector's Office in Kurnool asking revolving funds and marketing facilities to the groups. They asked for training programs and payment of salaries by Government.
TDP Party candidate Mr. PM Nageswara Rao won Corporation Chairperson post in Warangal.
Tridangi Chinagiyaar Swamy inaugurated Vikasa Tarangi program in Warangal.
