CLP Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy suspended his Paadayatra Program for a day after his health condition dipped down near Rajahmundry. YSR already covered 936 kms of his total of 1450 kms state wide tour by walk. He was attended by Doctors who were escorting him all the way.
Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam, Tirupati - host for conduction of LAWCET 2003 entrance examinations for law courses offered by colleges in the state completed all arrangements for the conduction of examination to be held on May 26. Over 13,200 candidates were found qualified for the examination. 10,574 of them were writing for the 3-year law program while 2,647 were writing for the 5-year Law program.
Four people - all men - were killed in a road accident near Shergudu village near Ibrahimpatnam of Ranga Reddy district when their vehicle collieded head on with a truck.
Former Prime Minister Sri HD Deve Gowda celebrated his 71st birthday by offering prayers to Lord Sri Venkateswara at Tirumala. Sri Gowda was received by TTD Joint Executive Officer P Balasubramanyam and Deputy Co(Reception) Satyanarayana Raju at the temple.
