SI and constable injured in a naxal landmine blast

An SI and a constable escaped with injured when Naxals blasted a landmine in Yachram mandal in Rangareddy. A troop of policemen went to the area upon getting news that naxals who held a meeting at Chintapatla mandal were in the rea

Cyclone still on course

Metrological station at Visakhapatnam said that the Cyclone has increased its intensity and is stable at the area. The course of direction of the cyclone can be known only when it begins to move. Government administration at Krishna, Guntur and Chitoor were put on alert. Special Control rooms were setup at Nellore. Precautionary measures on a high scale were seen to have been taken.

Seminar on Water Scenario in Andhra Pradesh held

The Bi-centenary celebrations of Sir Arthur Cotton were held by Indian Metrological Society, Gandhi Institute of Technology & Management and Sri D Ch Tirupathi Raju Memorial Charitable Trust in Visakhapatnam. A seminar on 'Water Scenario in Andhra Pradesh' was held.

A Round Table Meeting was held in Vijayawada to discuss on farmer drought problems. The meeting felt that Government has not taken enough initiative to addressed the problems.
The Gangamma Jaatara ended in Tirupati. Maha kumbhabishekam and special prayers were offered to the lordess.
