Action Plan announced to develop Irrigational resources
Finance Minister Mr. Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that the State Government is forumulating an action plan to develop 1,168 Irrigational resources in the state. Speaking at a Press Conference, the Minister said that the project worth Rs. 10,000 crores facilitates provisoin of irrigational facilities to an additional two lakh acres in the State.
Andhra Pradesh bags 'Best e-Governed State' Award
Andhra Pradesh has bagged the prestigious 'Best e-Governed State' award instituted by the Computer Society of India. The Union Minister of State for Information Technology and Communications, Sumitra Mahajan has presented the award to the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in a function organised in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister has praised Chandrababu Naidu for his initivaties and IT vision.
Seven new Reservation Centres to be introduced soon
Minister of State for Railways, Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya said that the South Central Railway would open seven new computerized passenger reservation centres in the State. Speaking to the Presspersons, the Minister said that the reservation centres would be opened at Satyanarayanapuram in Vijayawada, Medak, Sangareddy, Karimnagar, Moulali and two in Begumpet.
Highcourt Chief Justice offers Prayer at Tirumala
The Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, Mr. Devinder Gupta offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara at the Tirumala. He was accorded a ceremonial welcome at Tirumala by the TTD's Executive Officer, Ajeya Kallam and Joint EO, P. Balasubramanyam.
