German President delivers speech on Science at University of Hyderabad

German President Mr. Johannes Rau devlivered a speech on the topic 'Science in te 21st Century - Challenges for Liveral Democracies in a Globalize World' at the Campus of University of Hyderabad. The speech was keenly received by Scientisits, Officials, Teachers, Professors and Students of the University.

Congress and CPI asks for sacking of Minister

Congress and CPI (M) members stalled the proceeding of the Asembly demanding the sacking of Mr. S Chandramohan Reddy - Information Minister and Nellore District Collector. They said that the Minister has ignored the directrives of the speakers which restricts members from brining others into the hourse during proceedings.

Women threws her children and herself - commits suicide

In a highly moved incident, a women threw her two children into a well and later herself jumped and committed suicide. The incident occurred at Hampa Villege in Maddikera Mandal of Kurnool.

Afro-Asian Games as usual - says Sports Minister

State Sports Minister Sri P Ramulu said that the Afro-Asian Games that were scheduled to be held in Hyderabad will be organized as per schedule without any postponement. He rejected comments from MIM Leader Asaduddin Owaisi who asked for posponement of the games in view of severe drought situation in the state.
