Government Revenues and Returns up - says Finance Minister

The State Government said that the members of the house need not have to concern about the possibility of repayement of the loans that the Government has taken. Revenue Minister Sri Yenamala Ramakrishnudu took over 3 hours giving answers to the questions raised by the Opposition parties at the Assembly today.He said that the Government made all plans to repay the loans in a phased manner and that the State will not be defaulters. He said that the State has every capacity for the repayment and that revenue and returns are growing up and that there will be no concern about it. Members of the Legislature questioned at the decline in the allocations to the agriculture sector which was the prime occupation for many people in the state. Some other members questioned about the drinking water in Hyderabad and that the allocations made during last year were actually not provided.

Congress questions on house construction works for backward classes

The Congress Party, today at the Assembly, said that TDP Party which promised houses for Backward castes in the state during elections was not fulfilled. The question was raised during the Question and Answer hour in which Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy asked wether TDP was responsible to keep their words and asked if it is possible to take up the constructions atleast for the next financial year.

Replying to this, Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu said that his party is always committed and that the reason is due to the drought situation which has delayed the process. CM left the Assembly after his talks but returned back replying to comments made on him by the Opposition. Dissatisfied at the reply by CM, the Congress and CPM staged a walkout. When moving outwards, N Raghuveera Reddy tore a manifesto document of the ruling party for which the ruling party raised objection.

Hyderabad Congress demonstrates for Krishna water to city

Hyderabad City Congress Committee staged a demonstration at Indira Park against the Government for not taking effort to brink Krishna River water to the city quickly. APCC President Mr. M Satyanarayana Rao, CLP Leader Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and senior leaders took part in the demonstrations. Dr. YSR said that no proper planning was made by the State Government which led to the severe drought situation. He said that the roads in Hi-tech city were attractive but said that there are not even roads and that drainage cannals have no covers in rural parts of the state.

Meanwhile, a deligation Union former Minister and Congress Leader Sri Upendra met Governor Sri Barnala and gave a memorandum to see that waters are made available in the rural parts of the state.
